E-Recruiting
Also known as: Electronic Recruiting, Online Recruiting, Digital Recruitment
The use of web-based tools and platforms for job posting, candidate sourcing, application submission, and hiring management. E-recruiting systems include job search websites, online application portals, applicant tracking systems, and social networking platforms like LinkedIn. Research consistently shows that these platforms present significant accessibility barriers for people with disabilities, including inaccessible form controls, non-magnifiable content, mouse-dependent interactions, and incompatibility with screen readers. The Partnership on Employment and Accessible Technology (PEAT) found that 46% of respondents with disabilities found online job applications difficult to impossible to complete.
